1. It's important to like your spouse, not only should you love them but you must like to be around them. Spending time and having fun with your spouse is very important for a lasting marriage.
2. Remain Hot! Just because we get married does not mean YAY, I got him now! I'm done with this...it takes toooo much time to look this good. We still have to remain the same, this is what your spouse was attracted to the first time he saw you no matter how shallow it sounds, its true and this works both ways. We don't want to be with a slob who sits around watching TV all day.
3. Men, compliments always work...no matter what! When we come home after a long day we want you to still notice and acknowledge us. This works both ways so guys, stop playing the video games and girls stop being DIVAS and acknowledge your husband when he comes home after a long day.
4. You have to be spiritually compatible as well, this is important. There is always controversy when two different religions marry not saying that they won't be happy together but, it is much more of a challenge.
5. And, here is the key communication, this is hard for black men especially, most of them although not all have the worst time communicating. Just open up and remember you are now ONE! You have to be trusting and know your wife will listen. Wives we must remember this as well once your husband opens up always listen to what he has to say.

All the love making comes after this because without the steps above it really means nothing. You are just two people having sex.
